Hello, folks, it’s hard to believe that it’s been a full week since our last segment. As they say, time flies when you’re having fun or something like that… You are having fun prepping right? If not then you’re doing it wrong! Are you having fun prepping?
Before we get started with this weeks segment I’d like to invite you to go over and look at a new site that I set up a couple of weeks ago. It’s called “Dude, I’m Broke!” The site is unique in that I search out camping, hunting, prepping and related gear that’s priced at $20 or less and bring it all to you in one convenient location.
So just about everyone should be able to find something that they can afford that will help them be better prepared for a disaster. If you can afford $20 per week on survival gear and food in a few short weeks you would be better prepared than probably 90% of the U.S. population!

I think that the main thing that most (all) of the other hundreds of “prepper blogs” get wrong is that they focus on TEOTWAWKI only, you know the worst case WROL type event while failing to address survival in our daily lives.
That is a huge mistake. Being a prepper isn’t just about surviving out in the bush with only a toothpick and a gum wrapper, nor is it only about prepping for and surviving a Mad Max type world after a mega-disaster.
Yes, we need to prepare for that Mad Max type EOTWAWKI even because it is going to happen eventually. But we know that there is a 100% probability that life is going to happen and with life comes health issue and for most financial issues as well, so I’m going to address those two issues more closely and more often.
So, look for an expansion of posts in these categories – Money and Finance and Health and Wellness with the focus on the present as in what you can do now that will help you now with your health and finances.
I will be covering topics such as home business ideas and well as ways to live a more frugal lifestyle. I will also be covering health topic such as getting into better shape and using herbs and supplements to treat specific health conditions such as high blood pressure.
I want to focus more on actionable steps that we can take to better navigate and survive everyday life and the issues that come with it like crime, home security, and the aforementioned money and finance as well as health and wellness issues.

It should be noted that we will still be covering the “normal” range of prepper topics such as long-term food storage, homesteading, firearms, and gear but my personal focus will be slanted more towards those two areas mentioned above for the next few weeks or months.
Okay, now what did I do to prep this week…
I cut off my cable TV which will save me $70+ bucks a month or $840+ dollars a year. That’s enough saved to pay for a road trip across several states to see the sights and visit historic places in those states. Or I could just buy another AR-15 or Glock or maybe I will buy a bunch of ammo and just go shooting. Or, maybe an extended camping trip… the possibilities are endless.
But one thing is certain and that is that doing just about anything would be better than watching stupid people on TV.
This week I also bought some chicks, no not those kind of chicks, the kind that has feathers and will be laying eggs in about five or six months. If you want to see the other kind of chicks then click here…
